Our History

The story of American truck technology has been written in large part by the people of Freightliner Corporation, pioneering souls who dared to challenge the accepted wisdom of the day. Fifty years ago, it was Freightliner which introduced aluminum to truck building, revolutionizing the industry and making a name for Freightliner in the process. Today, Freightliner people continue to push the limits of technology, designing and building the best class 8 trucks in North America.

Columbia Freightliner Sterling is part of Westfall-O'Dell Transportation Specialists, a group of dealerships that was established in 1951 and headquartered in Kansas City, Mo. Our partner Freightliner dealerships include Kansas City, Springfield and Joplin, Mo. We became a Sterling dealer in early 2007.
